"Butyl" normally refers to butanol (1-butanol or n-butanol) as an alcoholic component or generally a saturated hydrocarbon chain with 4 carbon atoms. "Ethyl" refers mostly to ethanol (ethyl alcohol) as an alcoholic component or generally a hydrocarbon residue with 2 carbon atoms. "Propanediol" refers to 1,3-propanediol as alcoholic component of this ingredient. A dimer is a molecule that consists of two identical subunits (the monomers). Linoleates are salts or esters of the linoleic acid (octadeca-9,12-dienoic acid).
