This ingredient contains pentaerythritol (2,2-bis(hydroxymethyl)-1,3-propanediol) as alcoholic component in esters or condensed with other (poly-) alcohols or sugars. Stearates are salts or esters of stearic acid (octadecanoic acid). Caprates are esters of the capric acid (decanoic acid). "Capric / Capryl / Caprate" mostly refers to capric acid / caprylalcohol / capric acid esters as component or generally a hydrocarbon residue with 10 carbon atoms; "Caprylic / Caprylyl / Caprylate" mostly refers to caprylic acid / caprylylalcohol / caprylic acid esters as component or generally a hydrocarbon residue with 8 carbon atoms; Adipates are salts or esters of adipic acid (hexanedioic acid).
