Substance information
Silicones (polymeric siloxanes) are long-chain silicone compounds in which the silicone atoms are interlinked via oxygen bridges. Substances with the designation "quaternium-..." or "polyquaternium-..." are complex quaternary ammonium compounds, ie all four hydrogen atoms of the ammonium cation are replaced by (frequently polymeric) organic residues. Ingredient on the basis of poly(di)methyl siloxane ("dimethicone"). "Cross polymer" refers to a crosslinked polymer.
