This ingredient contains behenyl alcohol (1-docosanol) as alcoholic component. Methacrylates are polymers or copolymers based on methacrylic acid and / or its esters. "T-butyl" or "tert-butyl" mostly refers to tertiary butanol (2-methyl-2-propanol, t-butyl alcohol or t-butanol) as alcoholic component or generally a branched saturated hydrocarbon residue with 4 carbon atoms. "Copolymer" refers to a polymer composed of several different (mostly two) basic units (monomers).

In the European Union, testing cosmetics on animals has been fully banned since 2013.
