Bacteria of the genus bifidobacterium are used for fermentation. "Hydrolyzed" means: hydrolysed or a hydrolysate (product of the separation of a chemical compound by reaction with water, often by means of enzymes). Ingredient on the basis of (cow’s) milk. Ingredient on the basis of lactose (milk sugar). "Sodium..." refers to a sodium salt. Ascorbates are salts or esters of the ascorbic acid. "Ferment filtrate" refers to the filtrate of a fermentation product (mostly vegetable starting material, converted with enzymes, (yeast-) fungi or bacteria).
