Ingredient
HDI/DI-C12-14 ALKYL TARTRATE/HYDROGENATED DILINOLEYL ALCOHOL COPOLYMER
Substance information
Polymer or copolymer based on hexamethylene diisocyanate (HMDI, HDI) and possibly other monomers. "Alkyl" describes a mixture of alkanols. Alkanols are alcohols which are derived from saturated hydrocarbons. The preceding numbers "C x-y" specify the range of the alkyl (hydrocarbon) chain lengths. Tartrates are salts or esters of tartaric acid. "Hydrogenated" means: treated with hydrogen (hydrogenated). This ingredient contains linoleyl alcohol (9,12-octadecadiene-1-ol) as alcoholic component. "Alcohol" refers generally to the alcohols R-OH derived from the corresponding hydrocarbons R-H. "Copolymer" refers to a polymer composed of several different (mostly two) basic units (monomers).
