Background information on use in cosmetics
A whole series of cosmetic products contain substances of animal origin. These include eg honey, beeswax, gelatine or also egg ingredients. Whether a cosmetic product contains egg components can be seen from the INCI name component "OVUM" and / or "EGG" on the product. In this way allergic persons can rapidly determine whether a product is suitable for them or not. Eggs have already been known for beauty care for a long time. Their ingredients like lecithin and B vitamins provide the hair with gloss. Carotenoids and antioxidants protect against skin ageing, render the skin supple and can smoothen it.
