This ingredient contains polymerised glycerin (as alcoholic component). The number behind "polyglyceryl-" refers to the average number of glycerin units. Stearates are salts or esters of stearic acid (octadecanoic acid). Oleates are salts or esters of oleic acid (cis-9-octadecenoic acid). A dimer is a molecule that consists of two identical subunits (the monomers). Linoleates are salts or esters of the linoleic acid (octadeca-9,12-dienoic acid). "Cross polymer" refers to a crosslinked polymer.
