Substance information
The name component "oleic" means that the ingredient contains, as fatty acid component, amongst others, oleic acid (mostly introduced via an acylation reaction). The name component "stearic" means that the ingredient contains, as fatty acid component, amongst others, stearic acid (octadecanoic acid) (mostly introduced via an acylation reaction). Glycerides are conversion products of glycerin (esters), which are obtained through a reaction with fats (through so-called trans-esterification) or through direct esterification with one or more fatty acid(s) (mono-, di- or triglycerides). A dimer is a molecule that consists of two identical subunits (the monomers). Linoleates are salts or esters of the linoleic acid (octadeca-9,12-dienoic acid). "Cross polymer" refers to a crosslinked polymer.
