Substance information
"Dimonium …" refers to a quaternary dimethyl ammonium salt, mostly on the basis of fatty amines. Examples: "steardimonium…" contains a stearyl-(C18) carbon chain; "laurdimonium…" corresponds to a lauryl-(C12-) hydrocarbon residue. "Hydroxypropyl" refers to 2-hydroxypropanol (1,2-propanediol) as alcoholic component or generally the 2-hydroxypropyl group as hydrocarbon residue. "Hydrolyzed" means: hydrolysed or a hydrolysate (product of the separation of a chemical compound by reaction with water, often by means of enzymes). Ingredient on the basis of barley (hordeum vulgare). "Protein" refers to proteins, mostly of plant origin. Proteins are biological macromolecules which are made from amino acids.
