Substance information
"Ethyl" refers mostly to ethanol (ethyl alcohol) as an alcoholic component or generally a hydrocarbon residue with 2 carbon atoms. This ingredient contains isostearyl alcohol (iso-1-octadecanol) as alcoholic component. This ingredient contains imidazole (1,3-diaza-2,4-cyclopentadiene) or imidazoline (hydrogenated imidazole) as amine component. Amides are generally conversion products of carbonic acids (carboxylic acids, mostly fatty acids) or other acids with nitrogen compounds (ammonia or alkyl and alkanol amines, amino acids etc). Examples: "stearamides" are amides of the stearic acid, "cocamides" are amides of coconut fatty acids.
