Substance information
The name component "isostearoyl" means that the ingredient contains, as fatty acid component, amongst others, isostearic acid (isooctadecanoic acid) (mostly introduced via an acylation reaction). The name component "oleoyl" means that the ingredient contains, as fatty acid component, amongst others, oleic acid (cis-9-octadecenoic acid) (mostly introduced via an acylation reaction). "Isopropyl" mostly refers to iso-propanol (2-propanol, i-propanol) as alcoholic component or generally a branched saturated hydrocarbon residue with 3 carbon atoms. "Dimonium …" refers to a quaternary dimethyl ammonium salt, mostly on the basis of fatty amines. Examples: "steardimonium…" contains a stearyl-(C18) carbon chain; "laurdimonium…" corresponds to a lauryl-(C12-) hydrocarbon residue. Methosulfates are salts or esters of methylsulfuric acid.
