Substance information

Polymer or copolymer based on hydroxypropyl methacrylate (HPMA) and possibly other monomers. "Methyl" mostly refers to methanol (methyl alcohol) as alcoholic component or generally the methyl group as the smallest hydrocarbon residue with one carbon atom. Dimethyl-, trimethyl- etc refer to two, three or more methyl groups. Polymer, copolymer or esters based on pentanediol (1,3- or 1,5-pentanediol). Adipates are salts or esters of adipic acid (hexanedioic acid). Polymer or copolymer based on isophorone diisocyanate (IPDI) and possibly other monomers. "Copolymer" refers to a polymer composed of several different (mostly two) basic units (monomers).

Are cosmetics tested on animals? No!

In the European Union, testing cosmetics on animals has been fully banned since 2013. Over the last 30 years, long before a ban was in place, the cosmetics and personal care industry has invested in research and development to pioneer alternatives to animal testing tools to assess the safety of cosmetics ingredients and products.
