Substance information
The name component "cocoyl" means that the ingredient contains, as fatty acid components, amongst others, fatty acids from coconut oil (cocos nucifera oil) (mostly introduced via an acylation reaction). "Hydroxy..." generally refers to a hydroxy (hydroxyl) group -OH; the functional group of alcohols. "Ethyl" refers mostly to ethanol (ethyl alcohol) as an alcoholic component or generally a hydrocarbon residue with 2 carbon atoms. This ingredient contains imidazole (1,3-diaza-2,4-cyclopentadiene) or imidazoline (hydrogenated imidazole) as amine component. "PG" refers to propylene glycol (1,2-propylene glycol, propane-1,2-diol) as alcoholic component of this ingredient. Chlorides are salts of hydrogen chloride (hydrochloric acid). Phosphates are salts or esters of phosphoric acid.
