Ingredient
ACRYLATES/LAURYL ACRYLATE/STEARYL ACRYLATE/ETHYLAMINE OXIDE METHACRYLATE COPOLYMER
Substance information
"Acrylate" or "acrylates" are polymers or copolymers based on acrylic acid and / or other alkyl acrylates (acrylic acid esters). This ingredient contains lauryl alcohol (1-dodecanol) as alcoholic component. This ingredient contains stearyl alcohol (1-octadecanol) as alcoholic component. "Ethyl" refers mostly to ethanol (ethyl alcohol) as an alcoholic component or generally a hydrocarbon residue with 2 carbon atoms. Amines are organic compounds containing a central nitrogen atom to which one, two or three alkyl or aryl groups are attached. Amine oxides are tertiary amines (none of the three binding sites holds hydrogen) synthesized by oxidation of the amino group of an alkylamine. Methacrylates are polymers or copolymers based on methacrylic acid and / or its esters. "Copolymer" refers to a polymer composed of several different (mostly two) basic units (monomers).
