Substance information
"Glycol" refers to divalent alcohol as alcoholic component of this ingredient (ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, butylene glycol, pentylene glycol, hexylene glycol and others). A dimer is a molecule that consists of two identical subunits (the monomers). The name component "linoleic" means that the ingredient contains, as fatty acid component, amongst others, linoleic acid (mostly introduced via an acylation reaction). "Copolymer" refers to a polymer composed of several different (mostly two) basic units (monomers).
