Substance information
The name component "palmitoyl" means that the ingredient contains, as fatty acid component, amongst others, palmitic acid (hexadecanoic acid) (mostly introduced via an acylation reaction). "Hydroxy..." generally refers to a hydroxy (hydroxyl) group -OH; the functional group of alcohols. Ingredient on the basis of the amino acid proline (pyrrolidine-2-carboxylic acid).
