Ingredient
ADIPIC ACID/DIMETHYLAMINOHYDROXYPROPYL DIETHYLENETRIAMINE COPOLYMER
Substance information
Polymer or copolymer based on adipic acid (1,6-hexanedioic acid) and possibly other monomers. "Methyl" mostly refers to methanol (methyl alcohol) as alcoholic component or generally the methyl group as the smallest hydrocarbon residue with one carbon atom. Dimethyl-, trimethyl- etc refer to two, three or more methyl groups. "Amino" mostly refers to an nitrogen hydrogen grouping (NH2-). "Hydroxypropyl" refers to 2-hydroxypropanol (1,2-propanediol) as alcoholic component or generally the 2-hydroxypropyl group as hydrocarbon residue. Amines are generally organic compounds which are derived from ammonia and in which one, two or all three hydrogen atoms of the ammonia have been substituted by alkyl or aryl groups. "Copolymer" refers to a polymer composed of several different (mostly two) basic units (monomers).
