DITHIODIETHYL BIS-LACTAMIDE
Substance information
The syllable "thio" indicates sulphur as a component of the molecule (mostly in exchange for oxygen). "Ethyl" refers mostly to ethanol (ethyl alcohol) as an alcoholic component or generally a hydrocarbon residue with 2 carbon atoms. Amides are generally conversion products of carbonic acids (carboxylic acids, mostly fatty acids) or other acids with nitrogen compounds (ammonia or alkyl and alkanol amines, amino acids etc).
