Substance information
"Ethylhexyl" refers to 2-ethylhexanol as alcoholic component or generally a 2-ethylhexyl hydrocarbon residue. The name component "stearoyl" means that the ingredient contains, as fatty acid component, amongst others, stearic acid (octadecanoic acid) (mostly introduced via an acylation reaction). Hydroxystearates are salts or esters of 12-hydroxystearic acid (12-hydroxy-1-octadecanoic acid).
