"Ethylhexyl" refers to 2-ethylhexanol as alcoholic component or generally a 2-ethylhexyl hydrocarbon residue. "Methoxy" refers to a methyl-oxygen group (CH3-O-). Dimethoxy-, trimethoxy- etc refer to two, three or more methoxy groups. The name component "benzoyl" means that the ingredient contains, as acid component, benzoic acid (mostly introduced via an acylation reaction).
