Ingredient
HYDROGENATED DIMER DILINOLEYL/DIMETHYLCARBONATE COPOLYMER
Substance information
"Hydrogenated" means: treated with hydrogen (hydrogenated). A dimer is a molecule that consists of two identical subunits (the monomers). This ingredient contains linoleyl alcohol (9,12-octadecadiene-1-ol) as alcoholic component. "Methyl" mostly refers to methanol (methyl alcohol) as alcoholic component or generally the methyl group as the smallest hydrocarbon residue with one carbon atom. Dimethyl-, trimethyl- etc refer to two, three or more methyl groups. Carbonates are esters or salts of carbonic acid. "Copolymer" refers to a polymer composed of several different (mostly two) basic units (monomers).
