Background information on use in cosmetics
Honey has already been known to people for a long time as a soothing additive in body care because of its calming and partly healing effect. When applied to the skin or the hair, honey smoothens rough or dry areas and supplies them with caring active ingredients. Honey has, therefore, already been used for a long time as a valuable ingredient in cosmetic products such as body lotions, bath additives, facial care or shampoos. The products are as a rule characterised by the fact that they are particularly mild and skin-friendly. Its subtle scent makes the use of honey in cosmetics even more pleasant.
