Substance information
"Hydroxypropyl" refers to 2-hydroxypropanol (1,2-propanediol) as alcoholic component or generally the 2-hydroxypropyl group as hydrocarbon residue. "Trimonium..." refers to a quaternary trimethyl ammonium salt, often based on fatty amines. Examples: "steartrimonium..." contains a stearyl-(C18-) carbon chain; "laurtrimonium..." contains a lauryl-(C12-) hydrocarbon residue. "Hydrolyzed" means: hydrolysed or a hydrolysate (product of the separation of a chemical compound by reaction with water, often by means of enzymes). Ingredient obtained from parts of the jojoba shrub (simmondsia chinensis). "Protein" refers to proteins, mostly of plant origin. Proteins are biological macromolecules which are made from amino acids.
