"Isopropyl" mostly refers to iso-propanol (2-propanol, i-propanol) as alcoholic component or generally a branched saturated hydrocarbon residue with 3 carbon atoms. The name component "lauroyl" means that the ingredient contains, as fatty acid component, amongst others, lauric acid (dodecanoic acid) (mostly introduced via an acylation reaction). Sarcosinates are N-acyl derivatives of sarcosine (N-methylglycine, an amino acid).
