Antiperspirants
Description
Antiperspirants reduce sweating by influencing the activity of the sweat glands. Sweat formation is reduced by approximately 20 to 60 %. In this way the sweat-decomposing (skin) bacteria are deprived of part of their nutrients. Relevant bacteria strains can thus no longer reproduce to the same extent and less body odour develops. The reduction of sweating in the armpit area has however no impact on the overall regulation of the body temperature. Since moreover, antiperspirant actives also exert direct antibacterial (growth inhibiting) effects, they act at the same time as deodorant actives. Proven ingredients are ALUMINIUM CHLOROHYDRATE (ACH) and ALUMINIUM ZIRCONIUM OCTACHLOROHYDRATE.
