Anti-dandruff ingredients
Description
To control excessive build-up of dandruff on the scalp, anti-dandruff ingredients are used in haircare and hair shampoos. For example, clotrimazole or piroctone olamine are used in shampoo bases. These active ingredients show a growth-inhibiting effect against moulds and bacteria. This fungistatic effect plays an important role as the cause for the anti-dandruff effect.
