Substance information
Polymer or copolymer based on olefins (mixed unsaturated hydrocarbons) and possibly other monomers. The preceding numbers "C x-y" refer to the range of the alkyl (carbon) chain lengths. "Oleyl" mostly refers to oleyl alcohol (octadec-9-en-1-ol) as alcoholic component or generally a hydrocarbon residue with 18 carbon atoms. "Alcohol" refers generally to the alcohols R-OH derived from the corresponding hydrocarbons R-H. "Copolymer" refers to a polymer composed of several different (mostly two) basic units (monomers).
