The name component "caproyl" means that the ingredient contains, as fatty acid component, amongst others, capric acid (decanoic acid) (mostly introduced through an acylation reaction). Ingredient on the basis of propylene glycol (1,2-propanediol). "Glycol" refers to divalent alcohol as alcoholic component of this ingredient (ethylene glycol, propylene glycol, butylene glycol, pentylene glycol, hexylene glycol and others). Polymer or copolymer based on succinic acid (butanedioic acid) and possibly other monomers. "Copolymer" refers to a polymer composed of several different (mostly two) basic units (monomers).
