Ingredient
COCOYL POLYGLYCERYL-4 HYDROXYPROPYL DIHYDROXYETHYLAMINE
Substance information
The name component "cocoyl" means that the ingredient contains, as fatty acid components, amongst others, fatty acids from coconut oil (cocos nucifera oil) (mostly introduced via an acylation reaction). This ingredient contains polymerised glycerin (as alcoholic component). The number behind "polyglyceryl-" refers to the average number of glycerin units. "Hydroxypropyl" refers to 2-hydroxypropanol (1,2-propanediol) as alcoholic component or generally the 2-hydroxypropyl group as hydrocarbon residue. "Ethyl" refers mostly to ethanol (ethyl alcohol) as an alcoholic component or generally a hydrocarbon residue with 2 carbon atoms. Amines are organic compounds containing a central nitrogen atom to which one, two or three alkyl or aryl groups are attached.
