Waxes
Description
Waxes are substances of natural or synthetic origin, which are solid or kneadable at ambient temperature. They melt without degrading and have a low viscosity above the melting point. The higher the wax share in the fat phase of a cosmetic product, the more solid the end product. In cosmetics, waxes are therefore used as care components and consistency regulators in ointments and creams, but above all in pens and pencils. Examples are beeswax, jojoba wax and Japan wax.
